Description: If you want a realistic look at cruising seamanship, read this book. You'll learn respect for the sea and many of the skills necessary for safe, conservative sailing as the Dashews describe the techniques which have helped them comfortably and safely cover over 150,000 miles of ocean. "... the most comprehensive cruising book ever published." -- Cris Caswell, Yachting magazine
Additional info: The Dashew's are world class seamen and oceanic voyagers. They have written many books on the subject, and this is an early one. I have a later book, and it is better because of later technology reviews. Frankly, any book by this couple is worth owning, and I do not even own a yacht.
